Couples Update: Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder

We could totally tell that Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev have been dating for quite some time. After all, the chemistry on and off screen is definitely a giveaway!

After months of keeping hush-hush about their romance, the gorgeous duo is finally out in the open about their super adorable relationship.

At The CW’s Fall Premiere Party in Burbank last Saturday, Somerhalder couldn’t stop talking about his girlfriend of a year, and he shared that there are “a million things” he loves about Nina.

We want to know more!

He continued by saying, “She truly enjoys life. Her desire to experience and appreciate everything around her, and chuckle and enjoy it, is great.”

But what he really loves about the 22-year-old actress is her ability to make him be introspective and think about the impression he is putting out for the world to see. Beauty and brains? We can see why Ian is totally head over heels!

“When you’re really close to someone, they can make fun of you a lot and get away with it,” he said. “But they sort of poke you in all of the places — it all makes sense because they know you so well and it really pisses you off, but it forces you to sort of be introspective and ask yourself, ‘Wow, is that really how people see me?’ Apparently so!”

Nina was also gushing about her co-star boyfriend saying ”He always has a positive outlook and positive energy, and he’s always happy. He is a glass-half-full kind of guy, not half-empty.”

Sounds like the couple is smitten with one another and we couldn’t be happier! Does this mean more scenes between Elena and Damon? We sure hope so!
