Justin Bieber is back at the top after the 40th annual American Music Awards Sunday night!
J.B. took home the titles of Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist, Artist Of the Year, and Favorite Pop/Rock album with “Believe!”
Nicki Minaj was also a big winner, with her album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” winning Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop album and Nicki herself winning “Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist!”
There were big surprises at the AMAs, too. One Direction were nominated for New Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop/Rock Group, and Favorite Pop/Rock Album for “Up All Night,” but didn’t take home any awards.
Instead, following Justin’s win for Favorite Pop/Rock album, Carly Rae Jepsen won the New Artist of the Year award, and Maroon 5 were voted the Favorite Pop/Rock Group.
The relationship ended the first time after Harry couldn’t stay faithful to Taylor. This time, Harry says he’s ready to be a one-woman man.
All of this comes after a performance two weeks ago by One Direction on The X Factor, and one last week by Taylor. Harry was there to see Taylor’s performance, and even meet Taylor’s mom!
X Factor host Mario Lopez spilled the dirt on what was going on behind the scenes!
“Taylor Swift was the special guest performer,” Mario said, “and a little inside scoop for you. During rehearsals, Harry from One Direction came and slapped me on the back, and said, ‘Hey, Mario, how ya doing?’ And I said, ‘What are you doing here?’ And he sort of [gestured] toward Taylor.”
What do you think of the new coupling, Sweetys? Do you think this is a match made in heaven, or that Harry will just be the subject of Taylor’s next hit breakup song?
After nearly a year and a half of time away from the recording studio, Selena Gomez is back, and set to release an album in March 2013!
The news was announced yesterday by Ryan Seacrest via Twitter! Selena told Ryan the news while assisting in the opening of Seacrest Studios, at the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, near Selena’s home town.
Selena’s last album, “When The Sun Goes Down,” was released last June. In the year and a half away from the studio, she’s been focusing on her acting in films including the recent animated film, “Hotel Transylvania!”
I can’t wait for the new release! What do you gals think of the development?
