As our Be A Star contest with Bebop comes to a close, we are on the edge of our seats in anticipation of who will be the winner! Our three finalists are all amazing – it’s going to be a very tough race! So far we have introduced you to two of our finalists (CourtneyLynne & MissBeauty4everxo) and now we are so excited to present our last finalist, Glamourista16!
Sweety High (SH): How does it feel knowing you made it to the Top 3 in our Be A Star Contest?
Glamourista16 (GM): It feels absolutely unreal! I’ve never been so passionate about something I have created, and to know I am this close to potentially having that dream come to life is crazy!
SH: What made you want to enter this contest?
GM: I’ve always been an artistic kid, so ever since I can remember I have been sketching designs and dreaming of one day having my own clothing line. I practically had given up on that dream ever becoming a reality for years, until I heard about this opportunity! I’ve always known the chances of me actually winning are slim, but I couldn’t pass it up — I’d always wonder what might have happened otherwise!
SH: What would winning this contest mean to you?
GM: I can’t even begin to explain how honored I would feel. It would be an experience I would surely never forget, and a huge milestone in my life! It would encourage me to continue my dream of someday having my own clothing line or something I could make a career out of somehow!
SH: How did you come up with the inspiration for your dress design?
GM: I’ve always been a fan of the Herve Leger crisscross straps featured on many of their dresses, so I wanted to somehow incorporate a form of that in my own design! The rest of the dress just kinda came together on the spot, as I wanted it to be wearable and fit for many body types!
SH: If you could describe your fashion taste in three words, what would it be?
GM: Feminine, Simple, and Muted
SH: Are you interested in a career in Fashion Design? If not, do you have any other career goals in mind?
GM: I’ve definitely always dreamed of that career! Currently I’m not set on any particular career, as long as it’s a hobby (hobby-job) for me! Whether that be fashion or makeup, it will definitely be beauty related!
SH: Besides Fashion, what other hobbies do you have in your free time?
GM: I love playing guitar (acoustic and electric), especially with some of my musically gifted friends to join in and play piano and sing! I enjoy painting, making jewelry, spending time with friends, working out, and going to movies!
SH: What advice do you have for the other girls on Sweety High who are looking up to you?
GM: Follow your dreams and never let anyone tell you you’re not good enough!
Our Be A Star contest to design a dress for Bebop is coming to a close and we have our three finalists! We have so many girls on our site that have become huge fans of the final three and are dying to get to know them better! On Monday you all got to hear about CourtneyLynne, and now we are presenting MissBeauty4everxo to all our Sweetys! Check back later this week to see our interview with Glamourista16!
Sweety High (SH): How does it feel knowing you made it to the Top 3 in our Be A Star Contest?
MissBeauty4everxo (MB): It feels, amazing, incredible, rewarding, and indescribable all in one! I cannot begin to describe how thankful I am for all the support I was given and how proud of myself I am. I feel very accomplished!
SH: What made you want to enter this contest?
MB: Knowing I could show people my personal style, as well as one of the many ideas I have for fashion design, is one thing that really appealed to me. The once in a lifetime opportunity this contest provides really motivated me to enter because it is allowing me a chance at my dream!
SH: What would winning this contest mean to you?
MB: Winning this contest would give me the confidence and belief that I have accomplished a dream I have dreamt my whole life. Knowing I would be able to put my ideas, that were once sketched on a piece a paper, and bring them to life is an indescribable feeling. This could be the start to an incredible future with something I am so passionate towards – fashion!
SH: How did you come up with the inspiration for your dress design?
MB: Of course I already had ideas planted in my head from magazines, television, celebrities, etc, but the true inspiration came from myself; the things I love and would want in a dress. I love sweetheart necklines and find them flattering on everyone, so that is where I started. From there, I continued with elements I love in clothing like lace, the color cobalt blue, and the edginess and dynamic statements fashion can make.
SH: If you could describe your fashion taste in three words, what would it be?
MB: Edgy, Chic, and Trendy.
SH: Are you interested in a career in Fashion Design? If not, do you have any other career goals in mind?
MB: I am interested in a career in Fashion Design, however, I am aware this is a hard industry to break into. If I win this contest, I know I might have a shot at my dream career. I am planning to study Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandising in college. Fashion will always be a part of my life.
SH: Besides Fashion, what other hobbies do you have in your free time?
MB: I have been a part of my high school’s nationally ranked dance team for 4 years. I served as co-captain this year and was responsible for leading the team, choreographing routines, and cutting music.
SH: What advice do you have for the other girls on Sweety High who are looking up to you?
MB: If you have a dream, do not let anyone or anything get in the way of pursuing it. Every single person has their own opinion, but as long as you believe in yourself and believe in what you are doing, that is all that matters.
Our Be A Star contest to design a dress for Bebop is coming to a close and we have our three finalists! We have so many girls on our site that have become huge fans of the final three and are dying to get to know them better! Voila! Here is a Sweety High interview with our first finalist, CourtneyLynne – check back throughout the week to see the interviews with our other two finalists!
Sweety High (SH): How does it feel knowing you made it to the Top 3 in our Be A Star Contest?
CourtneyLynne (CL): It feels amazing to be in the Top 3. I never imagined I’d make it with such amazing competitors, but I feel so blessed to have received so many votes!
SH: What made you want to enter this contest?
CL: I have always dreamed of designing clothes since my grandma taught me how to sew when I was a little girl. However, being so young, I thought I’d have to wait until I was older until I entered this contest.
SH: What would winning this contest mean to you?
CL: I’d say it would mean the world, but that would sound “cliché”. But the truth is, I can’t express how much winning would mean. I was determined to make the best video possible because I really want to win this since I’ve never been close to winning something like this before.
SH: How did you come up with the inspiration for your dress design?
CL: My dress is something I always keep my eyes out for when I’m shopping but that I can’t seem to ever find. I put all my favorite aspects together to form this dress.
SH: If you could describe your fashion taste in three words, what would it be?
CL: Classy, flashy, and cute.
SH: Are you interested in a career in Fashion Design? If not, do you have any other career goals in mind?
CL: I’ve always dreamed of being into high fashion and it definitely interests me. I hope to see where fashion takes me between Sweety High and YouTube and at the same time I want to go to college to become an orthodontist.
SH: Besides Fashion, what other hobbies do you have in your free time?
CL: I love painting, crocheting, making YouTube videos and going to the beach. I like to get my creative energy flowing!
SH: What advice do you have for the other girls on Sweety High who are looking up to you?
CL: If I’ve learned anything, it is to never give up. Strive for your goals; if you’ve never failed, you’ve never tried. You only live once, so do what is going to make you truly happy so that you never have to live with “what-ifs”. And most importantly, love yourself and love others. God Bless!
