Disney Channel star Demi Lovato has joined forces with Aeropostale and the Do Something network to promote the fifth annual Teens for Jeans campaign.
The denim drive will hit schools around the nation in hopes of helping the growing number of homeless teens. It’s not at all surprising that jeans are the number one requested item by teens, as most of us couldn’t imagine having to go without our favorite pair.
We think it’s pretty cool that Demi is passionate about helping those in need. Get in on her good karma by participating in this campaign – not only will you make a huge difference in someone’s life, but you could also get your school $5,000 and a rockin’ pair of Aeropostale jeans for every kid in the school!

We were huge fans of Demi Lovato from the start but something about her People’s Choice Awards performance made us even more obsessed!
The soulful singer nabbed the award for Favorite Pop Artist and we couldn’t agree more with the results!
Ryan Seacrest went on air to talk about the recent split between Demi and Wilmer Valderrama this morning and we weren’t surprised because the way Demi performed that song last night showed her heartbreak and how she was staying true to the lyrics of the song and “giving her heart a break.”

“No matter how many times we fight, we will always be in each others’ lives,” revealed Lovato in the most recent issue of Seventeen. “Miley and I are very strong-headed, so when we fight, it’s brutal and we’re like, ‘We’re never going to be friends again!’ Then two days later, we’re like, ‘I love you and I miss you!’”
Demi compared this relationship to the one she has with Selena claiming that she “never” fights with Gomez. “She’s not a confrontational person at all. Both of them will never leave my life no matter what happens, because we’ve been through so much together.”
While Selena and Miley remain two of Demi’s closest friends she shared that she was pleasantly surprised by some of the others who reached out while she was in treatment. “We’re not super-close, but Taylor Swift tweeted ‘Pray for Demi,’ which I thought was really awesome of her. And Kim Kardashian, the busiest woman on the planet, took time to call me.”
She continued by saying that Kim “was there for me when not many people were. I could count on my hands how many people were there for me. So the people who were, I didn’t forget it.”
The support of her friends and family during her tough time helped her come back “more confident, happy and healthy.”
“I have so much to look forward to — from little everyday things, like where I’m going to go shopping with my friends, to big things, like heading out on the road [on tour], or even really long-term things, like what my next big project will be.”

On airing out her problems: “It wasn’t my idea, to be 100 percent honest. It was influenced by management, publicists and family. But they were all bringing up a good point: What teens need most is someone that they can relate to – someone they connect with on serious subjects like eating disorders, cutting, bipolar disorder, depression and bullying. I’ve been there. I get it. Why wouldn’t I be honest about it so I could help someone else?”
On being Latina: “Latina culture means warm family gatherings, special stories and a bond that I love to experience. I feel so much love and comfort when I’m with [the Latino] side of my family. It makes me proud of my culture and my ethnicity.”
On her big career dreams: “In 2012, I really want to be at the Grammys. And I don’t want to go unless I’m nominated, presenting or performing. It’s my lifetime goal to be able to say I’m nominated. So I really want to make that happen.”
