The voting contest to decide Selena Gomez’s new signature fragrance is over and the results have been released!
Selena announced the final results in the following message: “Hi guys! Thank you so much for participating in helping me create my new fragrance! You have picked raspberry as my top note, purple freesia as my heart note, and vanilla as my base note. I am very excited to share this new perfume with each and every one of you.”
Selena will be flying 10 incredibly lucky girls to New York to help her pick the final fragrance (how cool is that!?).
The fragrance will be available at Macy’s this May – better get in line girls!!
In this case, we couldn’t be prouder that Selena Gomez is a huge sell out – for her UNICEF concert that is!
The UNICEF ambassader is holding her second annual benefit concert to be held on January 20th at the House of Blues in Hollywood. Tickets were nabbed up like crazy as soon as they came out, packing the house for the show.
The concert will include surprise musical guests (BF Justin Bieber perhaps??) and will benefit children around the globe by bringing them clean water, medical supplies, education and food.
Selena was quoted saying, “Giving back has always been important to me. This concert allows me to connect with my fans in person which is one of the best parts of my job and to raise money for important causes at the same time. I can’t think of anything I would enjoy doing more.”
And guess what? One lucky winner will get the chance to win a trip to New York to help Selena pick the final scent for her new perfume coming this Spring.
Apparently the stars are in close talks to star in a film called “Spring Breakers,” which according to Variety.com is “the story of four college girls who rob a restaurant to pay for their trip to the beach” only to get caught right when they get there.
Apparently this movie is “risque” and “avant garde” which is quite the drastic change for the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon stars.
So what would their roles entail? Variety reveals that “Roberts would play a Southerner who feeds off danger, while Gomez would play a religious girl.”
Sounds interesting!
Selena has recently safe route in movies such as “Monte Carlo,” and Disney’s “The Muppets,” but we are excited to see her play something a little out of her comfort zone!
This young British hottie has been on our radar ever since we did a post on his supposed relationship with Miley Cyrus! After seeing this old interview that has surfaced, we are totally obsessed with his cuteness.
The rising British qt will be playing Miley’s love interest in the “coming of age” movie “LOL,” a movie he had an “amazing time filming.”
He also commented on the great cast, saying, “It was a fantastic shoot with such a great young cast. It was not really like work.”
He also shared how he is a big fan of Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts and how “Tom Hanks is such an inspiration and I can really only aspire to his greatness.”
But the most adorbs thing he reveals is how he plays the trumpet! Can he not right now? We are totally obsessed and can’t wait to see him in “LOL!”
It’s been a while since Miley Cyrus played out favorite pop superstar Hannah Montana on the popular Disney channel TV show. In a recent interview she revealed what she misses and what exciting new projects she’s been working on.
On missing playing the role of Hannah Montana:
I miss the family vibe, but I don’t miss the routine at all. I was so bored doing the same thing every day. It’s a lot easier not being on a show, to live my life a little bit and do some of the other things that I want to do. I don’t have to be back at a certain time. You’re not worrying about a cast schedule or what the producers are going to think. I’m so grateful that I was able to be on that show, but even my little sister, who’s 11, who wants to go into acting, I say, “Just wait, dude.” Because the way you’re going to be when you’re my age and the way you are right now are so different. Don’t put yourself into a situation where people are going to think of you as only one thing. You’re going to change a lot. You’re going to change every year. It interferes with your growing up if you’re not strong and you’re not sure who you want to be. I’m glad I’m not a character any more and able to be me.
On people taking her picture without her permission:
I’m with my boyfriend, for instance, and we’re walking around. We’re sure that no one is taking our picture. We are sure of it. No one has followed us. No one is here. And then, a few hours later, it’s like, “Miley Cyrus alert.” She was seen with Liam in public, they were kissing and hugging, and you’re like, “What the hell? I didn’t see anybody taking our photograph that day.” I think that’s what I would have enjoyed the most – just being able to be in public and not feel like I’m being watching. You know, my dad and me, we’re pretty good with fans. We don’t mind people taking our picture if they ask. But when they don’t ask, that’s a whole different level of weird.
On her latest movies (So Undercover and LOL Laughing Out Loud):
There are things I do for me, and there are things I do for the fans, and So Undercover was something I really wanted to do for the fans. It’s the kind of comedy that they’re used to seeing me do on my show. It’s more for the 13-, 14-, 15-, 16-year-old crow. LOL Laughing Out Loud is still for the younger kids, but we did it independently and we shot it with Demi Moore and me. It’s more like real life. It’s a really cool story about a mom and a daughter, and the girl becoming a teenager and the mom going through a midlife crisis, and how a lot of things that they are going through are actually the same. It’s funny how life kind of works like that.
On what she is currently working on:
I’m in the middle of going back and forth on a couple of films and trying to figure out what I really want to do. Right now I just want to focus on the sort of movies that I would rush to go see. There have been a few films that have been brought to me that have been interesting, but nothing is definite. I just want a really good game plan right now. This is when I’m going to work and this is when I’m going to be off, that sort of thing. Hopefully, by the end of this year I’ll be working on something. I would love to do more comedies, but not the comedies that people have seen me in. More kind of dry, that kind of style, independently shot, but also some laugh-out-loud funny stuff and drama as well. When you become a character, you want to make sure that it’s a part you want to open up and explore for yourself. So I think the next few things.. there’s a comedy that I’m working on now and something a little darker.
On something that she thinks will surprise her fans about her:
I’m really driven, obviously. I’ve always been that way, but my life is just really mellow, and I like hanging out. I think if they walked into where I live, they’d realise how the [public] perception of my is so different from who I really am. People would be shocked to know that I’m very thankful for what I have, but my career is not my main priotity, it’s not my life any more. I really just want to enjoy life and explore nature and become who i am to the fullest.
He was rumored to be dating the starlet prior to her getting back with ex-flame Liam Hemsworth. He shares the real story and what he thinks of the ex-Disney star.
On what he thinks of his co-star and rumored love, Miley Cyrus:
“She’s very hardworking. She’s like a 30-year-old in her mind. She made [over] $20 million last year, but she’s very down to earth and very humble. You know, she broke her iPhone and her mom wouldn’t give her a new one, and Miley was like, ‘Oh gosh, how much is that gonna cost?’ And I’m like, ‘Um, sorry?’ She doesn’t waste her money at all. She drives a Hybrid… as opposed to having a fleet of cars like I would. I’m not going to lie.”
On the rumors that he and Miley were an item:
“You know, I thought it might happen. One morning, I had a call from Luke, my publicist, going, ‘The papers are saying you’re dating Miley Cyrus. Is it true?’ But no, the rumors weren’t true.”
On his free and continuously expanding wardrobe:
“It’s great but I’ve kind of lost touch with buying clothes. The other day my mom was telling me how she’d spent [almost] $1000 on clothes and I was like, ‘How can you spend that much on clothes?’ But then I look at what I get given and realize I’d probably be bankrupt if I had to buy it myself. My wardrobe is ever-expanding.”
Sounds like quite the lucky guy! Getting free clothes and the chance to hang out with Miley Cyrus? We also hear that Douglas is set to co-star with Hailee Steinfeld in the 2012 remake of Romeo & Juliet!
We are totally jealous, especially since Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick is set to play in that movie as well.
