All of us at Sweety High are huge fans of rising YouTube star Austin Mahone, so of course we were incredibly excited when we heard about the release of his new music video for “Say You’re Just a Friend!”
The flirty track features Flo Rida and samples from the ultra-catchy “Just A Friend” by Biz Markie.

Last week Cody Simpson turned the big 1-4, and some of our favorite Tweeties (Sweeties+Tweet=Tweeties) decided to wish the iYiYi singer a happy b-day. Two of our Cody’s Sweetest Things winners, justinkma and xogenaaaaxo, showed off their autographed fan gear in their TwitPics proving that when they say “143″ they mean it.

We love Cody Simpson‘s cute Australian accent, but he says it doesn’t help with girls as much as he’d like‚ at least in Australia! The 13-year-old “iYiYi” singer says he’s still single too.
“Well, not in Australia because everyone has it,” Cody says about his accent helping him with girls. “But hopefully in the US it does. But I’m still single!”
It’s hard to believe that Cody has stayed single this long! We thought he made a super cute couple with the lead girl in his music video.

One year ago this month a star was discovered–a Youtube star that is! Thirteen year-old Australian-born Cody Simpson was discovered off of Youtube performing amazing covers of artists such as Justin Timberlake and Jason Mraz. He just recently debuted his first music video for his hit song ‘iYiYi’ featuring Flo Rida.
Does this sound like any other teen superstars you know? Yes, that’s right, Justin Bieber! There has been story after story comparing the two performers, and Simpson had something to say on the subject.
“Everyone that is coming into the industry that is new, they are always being compared to someone. I guess because we were both found on YouTube. I’m a big fan of his music, I think he is really talented. It’s flattering to be compared to someone so successful.”

Australian teenager Cody Simpson is already being billed as the next Justin Bieber, and his first single just came out today! “iYiYi,” featuring Flo Rida, is now available on iTunes!! The music video for the song will be released later this month and feature Sweety High’s Scarlett Turner.
Cody shared some funny details about his very very first song!
According to Cody, he started getting into music early: “I first picked up a guitar at seven after watching Dad play at backyard barbecues. I wrote my first song when I was about eight. It was about putting a diaper on a chicken!”
Sounds hilarious!

We spent yesterday on the set of Cody Simpson’s music video for iYiYi with Sweety High’s Scarlett Turner, host of our original series Glam Squad.
Scarlett, who is the lead girl in the music video (lucky!), dished to us on getting to know Cody and filming on the beach:
“We had the best time on set! Cody is the nicest guy ever, and I made so many good friends! At first, being on set was kinda scary, but once everyone knew what they were doing we just had fun! In between takes we would sing the ‘Fresh Prince Of Bel Air’ theme song or sing ‘In the Jungle, The Mighty Jungle’ at the top of our lungs! It was a great experience and I would do it again anytime!”
After the shoot wrapped, Scarlett sat down with Cody for a Sweety High exclusive video interview, which will be posted here soon.

We’re on the oceanside set of Cody Simpson’s music video for iYiYi feat. Flo Rida today. Sweety High’s Scarlett Turner, host of our original fashion series Glam Squad, plays the main girl.
First off, we must say: Cody has been beyond cool all day. He is so nice (and crazy cute, hello!)
We snapped a photo of Scarlett (second from the left) and the other featured girls just out of hair and makeup early in the day. They’ve been having so much fun chilling on beach blankets and goofing around with each other between takes!
In the music video, Scarlett and her friends are hanging out on the beach when Cody walks by the group and notices Scarlett, becoming obviously smitten with her.
