Co-Disney Stars Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens struck a yin-yang pose in their white and black gowns on the Red Carpet at the People’s Choice awards.
Miley wore a stunning white knee length dress, with a pink and purple double edge hitting just above her knees and below her waist. The front was extravagant with both a plunging sheer V and draping fabric below the waist.
Vanessa was also decadent in a black halter dress covered in a gold web design. Hudgens completed the look with an elegant up-do and dangling gold earrings.

Miley Cyrus and Ashley Greene definitely stepped out of their comfort zones and tried something a little bit more daring in their latest flick “LOL.”
“LOL” is based on the successful 2008 French film “Laughing Out Loud.” The American version is a coming-of-age story about a group of young people — led by Cyrus’ wild-child character Lola — trying to navigate high school peer pressure and romance in a tech-savvy era. The cast also includes Thomas Jane (“Hung”), Gina Gershon (“Rescue Me”), Jay Hernandez (“Takers”) and Austin Nichols (“One Tree Hill“).
While Miley is most popularly known as the super sweet teen princess Hannah Montana from her hit Disney Channel show, and Ashley Greene is known as the psychic, caring, and emotional vamp in the Twilight Saga series, these two have been trying to mix it up with more mature roles.
MTV News had the chance to catch up with Demi More, who plays Miley’s mom in the flick, and get the deets on what it was like working with the two young Hollywood stars.
“[Cyrus] is great, she did great,” revealed Moore. “I really loved the movie; I loved working with her and the director. They just put it on pause because they had another film they were focusing on. It’s a tough thing when you have a movie you’re looking forward to coming out,” she shared.
Moore also revealed that Ashley Greene’s role is going to be very different from what the Breaking Dawn starlet has traditionally worked on in the past.
“She’s saucy, she’s really saucy,” Moore said. “Sassy and saucy.”
We can’t wait to see the two in their new sassy and saucy roles!
While Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth did go through a rocky patch in the beginning of their relationship, it seems that their love for one another has only grown.
The adorable duo split last November after an 18-month relationship but have since rekindled their romance.
Miley revealed that Liam is the perfect boyfriend and that one of his best traits is that he is an amazing listener.
The triple threat (singer, dancer, and actress) revealed that Liam is great because instead of telling her what to do, he is always willing to hear her out and let her come to her own conclusions.
“I think it’s someone that is always there to listen and I think that’s when people make mistakes because they always want to have the answers and I don’t like people trying to fix me, I just like them being able to listen,” she explained.
The eighteen-year-old pop star revealed that she is happier than ever and absolutely loves her life.
“Everything’s great, I’m happy and there’s nothing I can complain about. I’m performing and doing what I love and I have awesome people in my life so nothing can really go wrong,” she shared.
Sounds like Miley is living the perfect life and is making sure she has the support of loved ones around her.
It’s been a while since Miley Cyrus played out favorite pop superstar Hannah Montana on the popular Disney channel TV show. In a recent interview she revealed what she misses and what exciting new projects she’s been working on.
On missing playing the role of Hannah Montana:
I miss the family vibe, but I don’t miss the routine at all. I was so bored doing the same thing every day. It’s a lot easier not being on a show, to live my life a little bit and do some of the other things that I want to do. I don’t have to be back at a certain time. You’re not worrying about a cast schedule or what the producers are going to think. I’m so grateful that I was able to be on that show, but even my little sister, who’s 11, who wants to go into acting, I say, “Just wait, dude.” Because the way you’re going to be when you’re my age and the way you are right now are so different. Don’t put yourself into a situation where people are going to think of you as only one thing. You’re going to change a lot. You’re going to change every year. It interferes with your growing up if you’re not strong and you’re not sure who you want to be. I’m glad I’m not a character any more and able to be me.
On people taking her picture without her permission:
I’m with my boyfriend, for instance, and we’re walking around. We’re sure that no one is taking our picture. We are sure of it. No one has followed us. No one is here. And then, a few hours later, it’s like, “Miley Cyrus alert.” She was seen with Liam in public, they were kissing and hugging, and you’re like, “What the hell? I didn’t see anybody taking our photograph that day.” I think that’s what I would have enjoyed the most – just being able to be in public and not feel like I’m being watching. You know, my dad and me, we’re pretty good with fans. We don’t mind people taking our picture if they ask. But when they don’t ask, that’s a whole different level of weird.
On her latest movies (So Undercover and LOL Laughing Out Loud):
There are things I do for me, and there are things I do for the fans, and So Undercover was something I really wanted to do for the fans. It’s the kind of comedy that they’re used to seeing me do on my show. It’s more for the 13-, 14-, 15-, 16-year-old crow. LOL Laughing Out Loud is still for the younger kids, but we did it independently and we shot it with Demi Moore and me. It’s more like real life. It’s a really cool story about a mom and a daughter, and the girl becoming a teenager and the mom going through a midlife crisis, and how a lot of things that they are going through are actually the same. It’s funny how life kind of works like that.
On what she is currently working on:
I’m in the middle of going back and forth on a couple of films and trying to figure out what I really want to do. Right now I just want to focus on the sort of movies that I would rush to go see. There have been a few films that have been brought to me that have been interesting, but nothing is definite. I just want a really good game plan right now. This is when I’m going to work and this is when I’m going to be off, that sort of thing. Hopefully, by the end of this year I’ll be working on something. I would love to do more comedies, but not the comedies that people have seen me in. More kind of dry, that kind of style, independently shot, but also some laugh-out-loud funny stuff and drama as well. When you become a character, you want to make sure that it’s a part you want to open up and explore for yourself. So I think the next few things.. there’s a comedy that I’m working on now and something a little darker.
On something that she thinks will surprise her fans about her:
I’m really driven, obviously. I’ve always been that way, but my life is just really mellow, and I like hanging out. I think if they walked into where I live, they’d realise how the [public] perception of my is so different from who I really am. People would be shocked to know that I’m very thankful for what I have, but my career is not my main priotity, it’s not my life any more. I really just want to enjoy life and explore nature and become who i am to the fullest.
Miley Cyrus has always been a fan of Joan Jett. After all, she preformed Joan’s hit “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” when she first auditioned for the role of Hannah on Hannah Montana. She also borrowed inspiration from Jett’s fashion style for her outfit on the cover of her album Can’t Be Tamed.
Therefore it should come as no surprise that Miley was super nervous when she found out she would be meeting one of her idols, Joan Jett.
Miley nominated Joan for the September “Heroes” issue of V Magazine and she got the opportunity to sit and chat with the queen of rock.
“People see me as this perfect Disney star, and the moment I put out a record that says ‘I’m not 11 years old anymore,’ people look down on me,” Cyrus shared with the rock star. “That’s why I have always looked up [to] you. When you came out people were shocked that there was a chick that wanted to rock as hard as the guys.”
The Runaways singer revealed how it was easier her at that time because there were no paparazzi chasing them down.
“I was thinking to myself … how difficult it must be to lead your life as a teenager with the paparazzi and the amount of press you’re surrounded by,” she shared with Cyrus. “I thought to myself, ‘Wow that was kind of a blessing that we didn’t have that stuff when I was growing up in The Runaways.’”
One thing Miley is going to make sure she borrows from Joan is her ability to own who she is.
“I love that you never apologized for who you were. It’s something I had to learn. … I’m sick of feeling as if I owe someone an apology for being who I am,” shared Miley with Joan.
Miley Cyrus was recently on Mattie & Maude, the Australian radio show, to talk about her upcoming “Gypsy Heart” Tour that’s set to take place down under at the beginning of June. The Hannah Montana star gushed about how excited she was to finally be working in Australia and why she feels she’s never been allowed to tour there.
“I haven’t worked there at all…It’s because they don’t want me to have any fun, that’s why! They know I’d never come into work- I’d be at the beach all the time.”
Miley goes on to talk about what this tour means to her, and proves she has a little gypsy in her after all.
“It’s [the tour] just about the music being able to be free not about how many screens you have and costume changes…it’s kind of telling my story.”

This Saturday, Miley Cyrus will be making her debut as the hostess of Saturday Night Live. To promote her big gig, Cyrus stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. The talk show host managed to get the Hannah Montana starlet to open up about her love for the ’stache. Yes, you heard right, Miley apparently LOVES mustaches! She shared with the audience that she has a diamond one on her 24/7.
