It doesn’t come as a surprise that within the first three days of it’s release, Harry Potter and the gang pulled in 168.6 million at the box office, making it the highest grossing opening film in HISTORY! It beats out the previously held record of 158.4 million by The Dark Knight from 2008.

J.K Rowling has a new project. She’s working on a Harry Potter website called Pottermore.com. However, the site is “not a new book” nor is it “directly related” to HP7, says spokeswoman Rebecca Salt.
The other details she is keeping hush hush and we’re going crazy trying to figure out what to expect!
According to the trademark description of Pottermore.com, it’s going to be all about “providing on-line chat rooms and electronic bulletin boards” and “on-line facilities for real-time interaction with other computer users concerning topics of general interest.”
According to the-leaky-cauldron.org, an HP fansite which has seen an exclusive preview of Pottermore, “it is, in a word, breathtaking.”

Emma Watson is looking tres chic on the cover of the July 2011 issue of ‘Vogue’ slated to hit newsstands Tuesday June 21st.
In the mag, she reveals she helped do some of the Harry Potter makeup on set!
“That was my playground. I would sit and play with lipsticks, foundations, and eye shadows; and every now and then Amanda would let me do the extras’ face paint for the Quidditch matches,” explained Emma.
Emma loves taking fashion risks and has even done some collaborations with some designers in the past! “It was such hard work. I was doing twelve-hour days on Harry Potter and then coming home to work for two more hours, sizing and cutting designs,” reveals the starlet!
We love how she experiments with different kinds of hairstyles and makeup looks! She is such a trendsetter!

Good news for Harry Potter Fans: ABC Family will be airing a H.P. Marathon with all 7 films playing through out the weekend and back-to-back on Sunday, plus an exclusive preview of part 2 of The Deathly Hallows.
You will get to go behind the scenes with the film’s director David Yates as he examines Harry and Hermoine’s relationship, and reveals the inspiration behind the Marauder’s Map.
The Harry Potter weekend extravaganza starts this Thursday at 7:30/6:30c with “Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone”, and will continue throughout the weekend with additional films. If you are looking to get the full marathon experience, tune in Sunday at 7 a.m.

With only 11 days left until the release of part 1 of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, fans and the media are getting a little stir crazy, but thankfully Yahoo! is helping out and released an exclusive clip to tide us over!
The clip, titled “Cafe Attack”, shows Harry, Ron, and Hermoine plotting their next move at a London cafe (aka avoiding death eaters and he-who-must-not-be-named), when a pair of men come in looking to start some trouble with the magical trio.
