“This year, we decided to make a single to raise money for Comic Relief,” Louis Tomlinson says at the start of the video.
Zayn Malik explains, “Comic Relief is a British charity that do amazing work helping people all over Africa and in the U.K. living with really tough lives.”
“So instead of spending a load of money on a music video,” Harry Styles says, “we decided to make it ourselves while we’re on your and give the money we saved to Comic Relief.

NME received much criticism from Directioners earlier this year when it nominated One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles as “Villain Of the Year.” Fans will be even more shocked to learn that Harry is hoping to win that title!
Other notable “villain” nominees include England’s Prime Minister David Cameron, ‘Gangnam Style‘ phenom Psy, and dubstep group Skrillex. The reasoning behind the nominations hasn’t been explained and is baffling music fans worldwide.
Harry doesn’t seem to be taking the nomination too seriously. “I hope I win,” he said in an interview with the Daily Mirror. “You’ve got to take the rough with the smooth but I don’t really feel like I’ve done anything that bad. Should be fun!”
After their visit to Japan this week, the boys of One Direction have decided to broaden their cultural horizons!
They want to learn more about the countries they visit beforehand, as they experienced a bit of a culture shock while in Tokyo!
“Over the weekend they vowed to learn at least 20 of the most common words in the languages of the countries they’re visiting before they land there,” a source told British newspaper, the Sun.
