Jennette McCurdy has found a way to put her love of cupcakes to good use!
The iCarly star will be giving up some of her personal time to sell Sprinkles cupcakes – all the money that she raises will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer charity.
Here’s what Jennette had to say about the event:
“On February 11th, I am selling cupcakes @Sprinklesbh and the money from every cupcake sold while I’m there will go to charity! Come say hi!”
If you live in California, you can come meet the star face to face and buy one of these helpful little cupcakes at the Sprinkles in Beverly Hills (9635 South Santa Monica Boulevard, Beverly Hills, CA). Jennette will be there from 3-5pm so don’t wait too long to swing by or you might miss her!
Do any of you live in the area and plan on stopping by?
iCarly is setting up for not only an incredible season, but a pretty fantastically packed episode!
iCarly is currently taping an episode (titled “Jungle Worms”) to feature not only the dazzling Victoria Justice, but also one of our favorite band of cuties – One Direction!
We are so excited to see One Direction test out their acting skills! Although we are secretly hoping to get to see them sing and dance too!!
We also can’t wait to see how Victoria will be incorporated into the script! We’ll be happy no matter what though – any extra Victoria is good Victoria!
Check out this hilarious video below that Dan Schneider (iCarly’s Producer) posted on his Twitter with the caption: “This is a scene from iCarly that you will NEVER see on television!”
The seven track album hit Justice stores yesterday, where it’s exclusively available!
Jennette tweeted about the album: “So my album has been SHIPPED to Justice stores! It’ll get to some regions later than others, but should be in EVERY JUSTICE STORE by the end of this week! I would hand-deliver these albums to you guys if it would make the process any quicker. trust me. hope you enjoy it!”
This new album is a follow up to 2010’s “Not That Far Away” album and 2009’s “So Close” album.
The previous album’s included hits “Stronger,” “Not That Far Away,” and “Generation Love.”
Jennette plays Sam, Carly’s (Miranda Cosgrove) best friend on the hit Nickelodeon show “iCarly.”
Not only did they hang out with Michelle Obama at the White House but they also sat down with Rosie O’Donnell in NYC to give her the latest deets on the new season of iCarly.
Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy, Nathan Kress, Jerry Trainor, and Noah Munck filmed a special one hour episode of “The Rosie Show,” and we hear that the episode is filled with tons of juicy info!
Speaking of juicy, in the sneak peak below, Miranda talks about how she’s going to be having a boyfriend on the next season of the show! Sounds like there might be some dramz among the three musketeers when Carly finally gets a steady bf!
The star of iCarly, Miranda Cosgrove, recently visited the set of “Live! With Kelly” to chat about walking in heels, going to USC for college, Michelle Obama on “iMeet the First Lady,” her new car, and more. Check it out below!
Anxiously awaiting to start her college career, Miranda Cosgrove discusses her obvious university of choice, USC, and answers the question everyone is dying to know: will she join a sorority?
Although she is currently pursuing a very successful acting career, Miranda reveals that higher education is on her priority list.
Miranda decided to pick USC after seeing how her older friend, who attended USC, was able to balance both an acting career and a college education.
With the location and great academic reputation, USC was a no brainer for the iCarly star.
So will Miranda join a sorority?
She explains “I don’t know! I can’t see myself in a sorority. I don’t know if I’m going to get there and go crazy and want to be in one [laughs]. It seems fun though. You make a lot of friends and meet new people.”
Either way, we know Miranda is going to have a blast at USC!
There is nothing like a little originality and creativity to score you some extra points when it comes to Halloween costumes. So instead of going the evil witch or cute cat route, here is another option that will have you getting recognized left and right when you go trick or treating this Halloween.
Nick News recently posted an article on how to dress up like Sam and Carly from iCarly and we thought we’d share.
Here are the must-have essentials for completing the look.
1. The Penny Tee: All you need is a shirt and some iron on letters. Here are some suggestions for phrases: “Maybe Gravy”, “Rubber Toast”, “Scuba Donkey”, “Blueberry Socks”, “Obese Hamster.”
2. A Pear-shaped logo on your electronics: Say bye bye to your apple computer and stencil in a pear-shaped logo to get the look that Sam and Carly rock on their gadgets.
3. A videographer: Ask that guy you’ve been crushing on to follow you and your gal pal around with a camera. He might even end up revealing he has a crush on you too a la Sam and Freddie.
4. Buckets of Food: Sam has quite the appetite so if you are going to be her for Halloween make sure you carry around tons of food. We’re talking about slabs of ham, potatoes, burgers, etc.
5. A Spaghetti Taco: Carly’s favorite food is the infamous spaghetti taco. So get on the iCarly bus and whip yourself the classic meal to show off your fandom.
We love this idea that Nick.com cooked up- it’s easy, fun, and delish! So start creating!
Miranda Cosgrove has had the role of Carly on the show iCarly for quite some time. So it should come as no surprise that she has started to become more like her character by the day. Check out this interview she had with Nylon for how she got the role, if she’ll be singing more on the show, the vibe on set, and more.
On how she got the gig on iCarly:
When I was little, I was on another show on Nickelodeon called Drake & Josh, and the creator of that show ended up coming up with the idea for iCarly… He approached my mom and I when I was 12.
On if she’ll be singing more on the show:
I sing once on the show – actually twice, sorry! – and I sing the theme song, but really, the show isn’t a musical. It’s more just about a girl that’s sort of “underground famous” for making a web show.
On the vibe on set:
Basically, we’ve all grown up together and we all know each other really well. At this point, it’s like being with your family. And I’ve worked at the studio where we film for such a long time, I just feel like it’s my home. We improv a lot, and we get to put a lot [of our improvs] into [the show]. We know the writers really well, so if we don’t think a line is really funny or we’re not doing it right, we can ask for help. We all work together.
On her most memorable episode:
It’s weird because we all kind of grew up on the show, and there’s a whole love triangle thing between my character and my friends Sam [a girl] and Freddie [a boy]. It’s kind of funny, because we both had to kiss Nathan [Kress], who plays Freddie, and that’s just kind of weird for us because we’ve all known each other for so long… but there’s an episode called I Saved Your Life where Freddie kind of saves Carly’s life, and she ends up liking him. That was a fun episode to do. That was probably the most memorable.
So the big question is, how different is Miranda from her on-screen character?
I think we’re different because I think she’s a little sweeter than me. She always tries to do the right thing and most of the time, it doesn’t end up going well for her. She goes in with the right intentions and it ends up being a disaster… I guess that actually isn’t that far from me. Maybe it is a little like me!
Sounds like the two have a lot more in common than Miranda thinks!
Everyone knows it’s not easy to make it in Hollywood, but some up-and-coming stars are taking the fame with ease and we know they have that “staying power.”
The starlet has been in Hollywood for quite some time now, playing Carly in Nickelodeon’s iCarly and Megan, the little sister in Drake & Josh. iCarly is one of TV’s most watched shows and we know Miranda will go on to be even more successful!
No one can forget her amazing performance in“True Grit.” At 14, she’s already been nominated for an Academy Award for “Best Supporting Actress” and the young star is currently gearing up for her role in “Romeo & Juliet.”
The 19 year old’s role in “Percy Jackson & The Olympians” should have propelled him to fame, but we know his new movie “The Perks Of Being A Wallflower” with Emma Watson and Paul Rudd will surely do the trick.
Rico’s performance is ABC’s “Modern Family” has us laughing with every episode! It’s tough to be recognized in Hollywood at just 13 years old, but Rico has done just that. We can only imagine what he will be doing in years to come!
