Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards nominees have just been announced but we’re already buzzing to see who will win in each category! Josh Duhamel will host the show on March 23.
Have any guesses as to who will nab the orange blimps? Here are our predictions for the music categories!
Favorite Music Group
Hands down, our prediction for the winner of this award goes to pop phenomenon One Direction! In the last couple of years, the boys have taken the world by storm, and their fan base is full of loving and dedicated Directioners. We think they have the upper hand against contenders Big Time Rush, Bon Jovi, and Maroon 5.
Favorite Male Singer
Justin Bieber really deserves this title, especially after the release of his latest album, “Believe Acoustic,” which has blown away Beliebers and non-Beliebers alike. He’s proven his maturity and talent in the past few years, which we think will help him win against nominees Bruno Mars, Blake Shelton, and Usher
Favorite Female Singer
With the flurry of hitsTaylor Swift has been putting out in the past year, it’s hard not to see her as the winner in the category. “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” “Begin Again,” “I Knew You Were Trouble” and the upcoming single “22“ all coming off her latest album, she’s a pop powerhouse to be sure. That’s not to say that the other gals on the list, Adele, Katy Perry and P!nk, aren’t all massively talented in their own right. We just think Taylor has it this year!
Favorite Song
What a tough choice! The nominations went to Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me Maybe,” PSY‘s “Gangnam Style,” Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” and One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful,” and all of those songs were personal favorites this year! Still, the song that will probably have the most lasting power, and that I think will take home the blimp, is “What Makes You Beautiful!”
The celebs shared their nominations for which Nickelodeon star would be their pick for president, weighed in on what award should replace the blimp, and revealed who they would slime if they had the power to choose the slime victim!
BTR has now released the music video which is for their song ‘Time of Your Life‘.
The video shows the guys at the KCA’s having a blast, hanging out with fans, and dancing with fellow celebs such as Ariana Grande and Elizabeth Gillies.
Take a look at the video below and let us know what you think!
Are you digging the “live music video” idea or do you prefer the good old fashioned kind?
If you missed Nickelodeon‘s Kids Choice Awards this weekend, then you’re probably wondering who went home with their own blimp – and no, we don’t mean the giant one that host Will Smith and Big Time Rush made their entrance on.
Here is the full list of winners from the KCA’s this weekend:
In addition to these kids voted awards, Taylor Swift also received the Big Help Award from Michelle Obama, and Justin Bieber received the Biggest Slime of the Night Award.

What are your predictions for tonight’s winners, Sweetys?
The performance will take place as a pre-show performance on the Orange Carpet.
Keke and Max will be performing a song from ‘Rags’ titled ‘Me and You Against the World’.
‘Rags’ is a modern day Cinderella tale, but with a twist!
Keke fills us in about the upcoming film: “I play the prince, but in this movie I’m a pop princess. And then ‘Rags’ who is really the Cinder-fella, instead, has an evil step dad and two evil step-brothers. It’s really cute and funny and Max did a great job.”
If you haven’t yet seen the movie trailer, you can watch in our past blog about the upcoming film.
The KCA pre-show starts at 7pm on Saturday, before the awards portion begins at 8pm.
