Target collaborated with Missoni in September 2011 to release a designer collection that customers went into a frenzy for! The line was supposed to last for six weeks but the store sold out before the end of the day and crashed the online website.
Hopefully Jason’s line will last long enough for some of us to get a look at it! If you are eager to nab some of his collection, you’d better hit the stores early on Sunday while everyone else is gearing up for the Superbowl!
Check out the gallery below to see some of Jason Wu’s designs for Target.
The star of iCarly, Miranda Cosgrove, recently visited the set of “Live! With Kelly” to chat about walking in heels, going to USC for college, Michelle Obama on “iMeet the First Lady,” her new car, and more. Check it out below!
Michelle Obama is going to be on an episode of Nickelodeon’s iCarly!
Now this is something we can’t miss!
The episode is going to air sometime in January but we already have a sneak peak into what the episode is going to be about!
In the iCarly episode, Carly and her friends get into some trouble when they try to arrange a web chat between Carly and her dad. Unfortunately they break some major rules since he’s in the military serving overseas.
Good thing Michelle Obama is there “to have a chat with them in the most positive way possible,” says network president Cyma Zarghami.
It’s part of Obama’s initiative for raising awareness of Joining Forces, an “initiative aimed at increasing awareness and support for military families.”
The N.E.A. (The National Education Association) consists of 3.2 million members, and in April of 2010 this super-force came together to draft a survey that would help speak to the bullying epidemic that was sweeping the nation.
Of this survey, they found that, “Over 40 percent of respondents indicated that bullying was a moderate or major problem in their school, with 62 percent indicating that they witnessed two or more incidents of bullying in the last month, while 41 percent witnessed bullying once a week or more. Although more teachers (45%) than ESPs (35%) indicated that a student reported bullying to them within the past month, all staff members equally indicated that parents had reported bullying to them (16%).”
These numbers are raising at an alarming rate, but with this alarm comes hope– President Obama, and First Lady Michelle Obama are now actively joining the fight to help stamp out cyber bullying and bullying as a whole. Today they addressed the entire nation via StopBullying.gov, and had some beyond touching things to say.
“This isn’t an issue that makes headlines everyday but it effects every single young person in our country and its something that we care about not only as president and first lady but also as parents.”
At Sweety High we are huge advocates of online safety and we believe it is important to educate our youth about the dangers of bullying. We can not stress enough how important it is to put an end to this, and we are ecstatic that the Obamas are getting involved. Watch some of our PSA’s right here on A Sweet Beat, and stay tuned for special safety posts later this week.
Looks like Mickey is getting some VIP guests! Michelle Obama, Nick Jonas, and other Disney Channel stars have teamed up to teach kids the 411 on healthy living.
“I hope through programs like the ‘Magic of Healthy Living,’ young people are inspired to take control of their own health, fitness and nutrition and engage their families, schools and communities to do the same” the first lady said.
Malia and Sasha Obama recently visited the set of The Suite Life on Deck, chaperoned by First Lady Michelle Obama. The sisters had already met Dylan and Cole Sprouse and Brenda Song, but took the time to talk to the rest of the cast.
“The main set isn’t up right now so they watched some scenes and then took off,” says an on-set source. The source added that “secret service was scoping the place out for a week beforehand in civilian dress. Cast and crew were on lockdown.”
Sounds like an exciting day on The Suite Life on Deck set!
