Superstar musician Demi Lovato won big at the 2011 ALMA Awards on Saturday night.
Demi, who played the character Sonny on Sonny With A Chance won the award for Favorite TV Actress. She dazzled her fans and the attendees as she glided across the red carpet in a golden-peach, goddess-like gown.
Demi quickly took to her Twitter after receiving the award saying,
“YAYYYY!!!! I can’t believe it!!! Thank you guys so much!!!!! #ALMAwards”
Demi’s two upcoming performances (one at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC on September 17 and the other at Club Nokia in LA on September 23) are sold out!
Looks like Demi isn’t letting anything stop her anymore. She wants the world to know she is back and stronger than ever. Some rumors have even been going around that the starlet will be coming out with a memoir.
Demi recently revealed that a memoir is definitely a possibility. While she hasn’t starting writing one yet, she shares that she is very interested in the idea and open to the possibilities.
That book would definitely be a great read and we know that it would inspire many of her fans.

It has been rumored that Demi Lovato would be making her TV comeback on X Factor as a judge, but an insider at the show is saying otherwise.
“She has, in fact, had meetings concerning the matter, but chances are very slim that she would be joining the cast as a judge. They think, because of her age, she might not be the right fit for a judge. But they have spoken about having Demi come on to perform during the season, and have discussed her having her comeback performance,” the source explained.
The show hits the air in September, which means we’d have to wait that much longer for Demi’s return to television.
The Sonny With A Chance star, Demi Lovato, recently checked herself into a rehab center for ‘emotional and physical issues’, but her father is going to bat for her calling some of the alleged claims against his daughter ‘bologna’.
Eddie De La Garza, Demi’s dad, recently told US Weekly that he is not sure when she will return home but that she is ‘progressing’.
“I don’t know how long it’s going to take…it doesn’t matter – as long as it’s positive.”
In a statement to Access Hollywood, Demi’s rep confirmed, “Demi Lovato left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time.”
While the teen’s rep did not reveal the reason for entering treatment, she did say the star “…has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help. She is doing just that and Demi and her family ask that the media please respect their privacy during this difficult time.”
Demi did not show up to perform in Peru last Saturday. A sign posted outside the venue cited health reasons as the cause for her absence. Later that weekend, her Twitter account was reportedly deleted.
Demi’s rep said the star “… regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future.”
Demi Lovato teamed up with OfficeMax to lead their A Day Made Better campaign, a program which rewards teachers in need with a surplus of supplies for their classroom. Students at Grape Elementary School in Los Angeles, California went crazy as Demi took to the stage to give one lucky teacher some good news– Mrs. Beverly Harris was rewarded $1,000 worth of OfficeMax goodies for her students! This wasn’t the only surprise of the day, the Sonny With A Chance starlet also performed an awesome set of songs for the children.
Principal Turner, from the school, was thrilled that his students were able to experience this, and he had this to say about it: “If the kids aren’t exposed to something here at school, it’s likely they won’t have the opportunity elsewhere. School is their chance to dream, and Demi gave them a once in a lifetime opportunity.”
Demi Lovato will be guest starring in tonight’s episode of ‘America’s Next Top Model’. The Sonny With A Chance Starlet is a huge advocate for anti-bullying and will help spread the message on the broadcast. The episode’s focus is to have each model take something they’ve been teased about and embrace it in a photo shoot.

Demi Lovato just turned 18 and she’s celebrating by buying her parents a house! However, Demi won’t be sharing it with them. The Disney star plans to live in a house in the backyard of the property.
According to Demi, the house is totally awesome! “It’s got pretty much everything you could possibly imagine in it,” she says. “It’s the most beautiful, homey-feeling house. I love it.”
