Romantic tear-jerker Nicholas Sparks strikes again!

The writer of ‘The Notebook‘, ‘Dear John‘, and ‘The Last Song‘ has another movie set to come out this Friday.

Former ‘High School Musical‘ heartthrob Zac Efron plays Logan, a U.S. Marine Sargent in search of a mysterious woman whose photograph he found while serving in Iraq.

After Logan finds the picture in Iraq, he is mysteriously saved from a series of near-miss explosions, eventually leading him to believe the woman in the picture is his lucky charm.

When Logan gets home from the service, he finds himself on an adventure to find out the real story of who the photograph woman really is.

He eventually finds Beth, played by Taylor Schilling, and gets himself a job on her family farm.

A romance between Beth and Logan starts to bloom and Logan realizes that maybe Beth really is his lucky charm after all.

This romantic drama has the recipe to be as successful as Sparks’s previous blockbusters, and with Zac Efron playing such a brooding, romantic character, ‘The Lucky One’ is sure to be a huge hit!

Ashley Tisdale stuck a pose as she came out to support long time pal Zac Efron for his movie premiere of ‘The Lucky One‘.

Ashley let her blonder hair loose over her shoulders and showed off her mini purple hair streak.

Ashley wore a bright turquoise, waist-high skirt over a coral top with a sweetheart neckline and thin spaggetti straps.

Ashley wore gold jewelry and nude T-strap heels to complete the look.

Attention all Zanessa Fans: News just broke that Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are no longer an item! The two, who met on the set of Disney’s High School Musical, have been dating for a solid 4+ years, and according to sources close to them, the relationship simply ‘ran it’s course’.

“They were together for so long. It just ran its course.”

Another friend of the couple claimed the split was peaceful: “It’s nothing dramatic. There’s no third party involved.”

Could the sudden split have something to do with Zac’s anti-marriage rant in GQ, where the actor proclaimed that he wouldn’t marry until 40, ‘if ever’?

The couple is keeping the separation hush-hush, but nonetheless, their schedule books remain intact- as the two are both currently wrapping up films in different locations.

Are you as shocked as us to hear that the Disney duo split so suddenly?

One of our favorite Hollywood heart-throbs turns 23 today.  Happy Birthday, Zac Efron!

Right now the High School Musical star is in Lousiana, working on the set of “The Lucky One”, a movie based on the Nicholas Sparks novel.

We wonder how the Charlie St. Cloud cutie will spend his evening.  Maybe a quiet dinner with family and friends, considering long-time girlfriend and former co-star Vanessa Hudgens is filming in Hawaii.

Zac Efron‘s reportedly in talks to star in The Lucky One, a film based on a book by Nicholas Sparks, but there’s something barring him from the role: his hair! The character is a Marine, which means Zac would have to shave his head.

The 22-year-old actor would play Logan Thibault, a Marine who returns from serving in Iraq to find a girl whose photograph he carried in his pocket while serving.

Sounds like an interesting role!
